Design Services
Our specialist Engineering Team will work with you to capture all of your high-level and low-level requirements, ensuring that the systems and solutions that we deliver, do exactly what you are expecting, with no hidden shortcomings. Whether you are looking at a physical or virtual solution, we will provide you with the best infrastructure solution to meet your needs. We have a range of VPN solution options, and for security-critical instances, we can also ensure your traffic does not touch the Public Internet at all.
Connectivity Surveys
When cable or fibre connectivity is not available, or not a viable option, we can provide a robust cellular connections to your networks, however the provision of cellular connectivity is not without its challenges, as we have all experienced poor areas of connectivity and the associated problems. Parallax Digital Technologies have staff with expertise in this area and can carry out a comprehensive cellular survey at your site location to establish what the best solution for your installation. We check the signal strengths and Quality of Service (QoS) across all of the Major Network Operator MNO) services, available technologies, and frequency bands at the site, which will allow us to recommend the best network at the correct price point for your Project. Where multiple router installations are required for fault tolerance, using protocols such as VRRP, this allows for a low-cost primary MNO option to be supported by a Multi-Operator backup option.
Network Installation and Commissioning
Once your network infrastructure is designed and configured, we will build it in our workshops to ensure functionality and failover mechanisms operate as intended, so that no time is wasted having to perform on-site troubleshooting during the installation and commissioning process. Our Network Service Team are available to install and commission your network infrastructure equipment, and perform Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) in accordance with customer acceptance documentation. Our Network Installers include 18th Edition Qualified Electricians, allowing them to modify your electrical installations to accommodate your new equipment, there and then.
Network Monitoring
Our customers need to know when there are going to be problems with their network infrastructure, which is why we offer a 24/7 monitoring service for new and existing customers. System critical failures can be detected and reported in a matter of seconds, and where there are failover provisions we can check that they are working correctly. Early failure symptoms of network components can be identified with continuously updated parametric data such as system or processor temperature readings, so that preventative maintenance can be scheduled in, before a catastrophic failures occurs, reducing your maintenance costs and streamlining your Service Team tasks.
Cellular Services
Whether you have a prototype or trial installation, or a mature IoTx installation, sometimes you need to be able to understand what is happening on the network. Excessive data usage, unexpected disconnect/reconnect instances, and connection attempts or even data transfer from unexpected or unauthorised devices can all cause problems for system operators. We provide our customers with a robust cellular solution using our SIM cards with our data monitoring solution, so that we can support our customers in all of these areas, providing detailed information on daily or even hourly data transfer reports with IP address and protocol information.
