Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Introduction

Slavery and human trafficking remain a hidden blight on our global society. We all have a responsibility to be alert to the risks, however small, in our business and the wider supply chain. This statement sets out Parallax Digital Technologies Ltd’s commitment to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in our supply chain or any part of our business. Personnel are expected to report concerns and management are expected to act upon them.

Company Structure

Parallax Digital Technologies Ltd (the “Company”) is a private company, located in the United Kingdom. The Company sells its own brand line of digital products, including computer networking equipment, digital display equipment, and cellular connectivity devices and services.

Supply Chain Overview

New products are purchased from well-known established manufacturers with whom we have had a relationship with for many years. and as such the immediate supply chain is considered low-risk. The introduction of new suppliers into our supply chain is not as simple as some industries, given the breadth and depth of the overall supply chain, and this makes it challenging to effectively manage business and sustainability issues. Respecting human rights, ethical trading and environmental issues in the supply chain is ultimately the suppliers’ responsibility. As customer, however, we communicate our expectations to our suppliers through our terms and conditions of business. We assess any instances of perceived non-compliance on a case by case basis and will tailor remedial action appropriately. Any suppliers that do not respond to our requests for compliance will be subject to us reviewing our commercial arrangements with them, which may result in cessation of trading.

Policy

Slavery and forced labour can take many forms, including human trafficking or child labour. Parallax Digital Technologies Ltd is fully committed to compliance with the Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Act 2015 and operates following the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) base code. Our company policies of Equal Opportunities, Code of Conduct, Employee Diversity and Inclusion, Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption, Grievance Process and Disciplinary Policy all reflect this commitment to respect workers in our own business and our supply chain worldwide.

Due Diligence

As part of our efforts to identify and mitigate the risk, Parallax Digital Technologies Ltd make commercial arrangements only with verifiable reputable organisations. We build good relationships with those organisations and make clear our expectations of ethical business behaviour. We encourage the reporting of concerns and the protection of whistle blowers.

Supplier Adherence

We have a zero tolerance for any forms of slavery and/or human trafficking. We require and expect all those in our business, subsidiaries, supply chain or those engaged as contractors to respect and comply with this commitment. Directors and senior managers are responsible for compliance in their respective departments and for their supplier relationships.

Training

To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chain, all members of staff receive training at induction and a refresher annually. All directors are briefed on the subject.

Effectiveness

We use the following performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of our commitment to ensuring that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in any part of our business or supply chain.

  • Completion of internal audits as part of our quality and environmental management systems.
  • Monitoring recruitment and payroll systems
  • Maintaining a good level of communication and personal contact with the next link in the supply chain to determine their understanding and compliance with our expectations.
